Comisión para Quickxyk.
Basado en un curioso cuento Maya de una gallina que estaba arriba de un árbol y un astuto y traicionero coyote que trataba deconvencerla de bajar; mi amigo pidió su propia versión usando su personaje Xyk.
Dandome algunas libertades le sugerí algunos cambios para hacer esto más parecido a un ambiente Maya, usando elementos como la columna de Kukulcan, la Piramide del adivino de la Gran Uxmal y a una chica Quetzal en lugar de una gallina, además de darle a Xyk una personalidad más divertida.
Como nota aparte, durante mis tiempos trabajé en un proyecto animado viejo, creando algunas librerías gráficas que me sirvieron para esta imagen, es divertido volver a recordar un poco.
Además de que este personaje me da mas ideas.

Based in a curious Mayan tale about a hen who was up in the branches of a tree and a treacherous coyote who tries to get her; my pal wants his own customized version of the tale with his Coyote character Xyk.
He let me some liberties and suggests using elements more accurate for a Mayan environment like the Kukulcan column, the City Uxmal and using a Quetzal girl instead a hen, and of course giving Xyk a funny personality.
As a note apart, in my times on an animation Studio I made some textures and graphic libraries to use in jungle & forest artworks, so good to use them again in this one. So fun working this one!
And this even gives me more ideas about Xyk.

You did a really, really great job on this picture with the characters with their designs, the Mayan tattoos, accessories and clothing (and the bird looks very beautiful including her posing too) and the background and scenery are all very well detailed too.
